Grok Bot can now shop for you. Here's how to use it for business buying

Hand off the restock run, keep your hand on the approve button.

Grok Bot can now buy things for you. You add a card in the chat, tell your bot what you need, and it searches the web for the best deal on the item and places the order. It can check out on a store's own website, not just one big marketplace, so you can keep buying from the shops you already use.

People are already using it like a personal assistant. One early user, @Teslaconomics, says he texts his bot what he wants and it "finds it, checks out, places the order, and sends me the receipt." Think of it as handing your errands to a helper who never wanders into the snack aisle.

Where it helps a business: the small, repeat purchases that eat up time. Restocking office or shop supplies, comparing the same item across three vendors, reordering the printer ink nobody remembers until it runs out. The research part alone can save an afternoon a week.

What to do now: start with one small, boring purchase you make every month. Keep approvals on so you see the cart before it checks out, and use a card with a low limit just for bot buying, the way you'd give a new hire a gift card and not the company card. Ask the bot to send the receipt to the same inbox your bookkeeper uses, so nothing gets lost.

Watch out for: surprise orders and wrong sizes. Be specific about the brand, quantity and price ceiling, and check the first few orders by hand before you trust it with more.
